Khan Academy is a very useful site that offers students all over the world with free online tutoring at any time. It offers tutoring for mathematics, but also science, economics, finance, computing, test prep and others. In the field of mathematics it offers more than 20 levels of mathematics. The way it does this is by providing online videos and interactive activities and exercises to complete after watching the video that serves as tutoring. The only skills students need to know is how to read and take notes in order to understand better, but other than that Khan Academy looks to cover all the basic mathematical concepts and help people in all the levels of mathematics. Its slogan being For Free. For Everyone. Forever. clearly describes the site. I would recommend this site to anyone struggling through mathematics that is looking for tutoring available at any hour and without any cost.



This cellphone app called My Math Flash Cards looks for a way for elementary students to learn easy math, such as division, subtraction, addition and multiplication in an easy and interactive way. It is for free on any iOS device. I would recommend it to anyone looking the master basic elementary math concepts and problems. The app functions like a set of flash cards that would be used to study and it also sets a timer for students to master the basic mathematical concepts in a quick manner and learn how to do easy mental math. You don’t need any mathematical skills to use this app because it is looking to show you the basic skills.




Math vs. Zombies is a mobile app game that gives young students the ability to learn while having fun. The purpose of the game is to use your basic mathematical knowledge on division, multiplication, addition and subtraction in order to save the world and kill the zombies. Every time you solve one problem you kill a zombie. It is available on iOS for only $4.99 and contains 111 levels and 7 worlds you can play in, giving students a variety of settings to learn the mathematical concepts, master them and keep them engaged in learning. I would recommend this app to any elementary student struggling to master basic mathematical skills. Moreover the app contains a Report Card section where parents and teachers can both monitor the progress students are making and find patters of learning in order to identify their strengths and weaknesses and help them master their weaknesses.





   iTooch Middle School is a free mobile app that contains more than 10,000 exercises and interactive activities that will help middle school students learn mathematics in a new and fun way. It monitors your progress in order to help parents and students monitor your learning needs. In order to use this app you need to have elementary math knowledge and master those skills. It does not only help you solve mathematical problems, but also understand concepts of mathematical terms. You can play some games with other students, making it more interactive and also has lesson summaries on every chapter in order to learn before playing and practicing.

    itooch and math zombiez look super fun. good resources. could have used a little bit more in the explanation part for skills needed, but otherwise, nice job. and great job of including images.
